The new Ninja 1000SX marks the 4th generation of a successful sport touring platform that enables experienced riders to enjoy sporty riding and touring capability from a relaxed position.

Cleaner emissions with the same great performance, sportier, more dynamic new styling featuring a single-sided muffler, increased seat comfort for both rider and passenger, and a host of technology updates – including Electronic Cruise Control; a quick shifter; integrated Riding Modes that combine KTRC and Power modes; and 4.3” all-digital TFT colour instrumentation with smartphone connectivity – make this refined sport tourer more attractive than ever.

FEATURES

POWERFUL IN-LINE FOUR

The Ninja 1000SX’s powerful, 4-stroke In-line Four engine pulls strongly from all rpm and does not let up before the redline. The engine delivers superb response, a strong mid-range hit and an intoxicating intake howl – every twist of the throttle rewards the rider with a physically and aurally exhilarating sensation.

TFT COLOUR INSTRUMENTATION

The compact new 4.3” all-digital TFT colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance. The new meter also offers additional features unavailable on the previous model.

DISPLAY MODES

In addition to scrollable multi-function windows, two display modes offer riders a choice of how they want their information presented. Type 1: Designed with touring in mind. Type 2: Designed with sport riding in mind.

KAWASAKI QUICK SHIFTER (KQS)

Complementing the Ninja 1000SX’s exhilarating engine character, the contactless-type quick shifter enables clutchless upshifts and downshifts for seamless acceleration and quick and easy deceleration.

ELECTRONIC CRUISE CONTROL

Kawasaki’s cruise control system allows a desired speed to be maintained with the simple press of a button. Once activated, the rider does not have to constantly apply the throttle. This reduces stress on the right hand when traveling long distances, enabling relaxed cruising and contributing to a high level of riding comfort.

INCREASED WIND PROTECTION

More stylish windshield is set at a slightly more upright angle. Four available positions range from sporty to maximum wind protection, to suit rider preference. As before, adjustment can be done by hand (no tools required) by depressing the release button below the instrument panel. (Windshield adjustment should be done with the bike stopped.)
