The Z900’s engine and chassis are extremely well matched, making it an excellent all-rounder, able to cater to wide range of riders. Its rider-friendly character (further enhanced with the addition of traction control) is complemented by agile handling and a responsive throttle. As before, the Z900 will happily accommodate city riding, but as a machine designed to deliver maximum riding impact, it is most at home carving corners in the hills.

The new Z900 maintains the “Exciting and Easy” concept of its predecessor, while offering the next step in aggressive Z sugomi styling. A host of advanced new features – including integrated Riding Modes (combining newly added KTRC and Power modes), new TFT colour instrumentation and smartphone connectivity – enhance product appeal.

LATEST EVOLUTION OF Z SUGOMI STYLING

While the Z900’s distinctive sugomi design elements (crouching stance, low-positioned head and upswept tail) remain unchanged, its eye-catching styling benefits from a number of updates that make its aggressive design even sharper.

EXCITING IN-LINE FOUR ENGINE

Powerful 948cc liquid cooled, 4-stroke In-line four engine has a quick revving character and a strong mid-range hit that pulls strongly to the red line. Silky smooth power delivery facilitates control while contributing to rider comfort and confidence.

INTEGRATED RIDING MODES

All-inclusive modes that link KTRC and Power Mode allow riders to easily set traction control and power delivery to suit a given riding situation. Riders can choose from three settings (Sport, Road, Rain) or a manual setting (Rider). The riding mode can be changed while riding, using the button at the left handle.

ERGONOMICS FOR CONTROL

With the wide, flat handlebar and relaxed, sporty riding position, the rider is easily able to capitalise on the Z900’s sporty street riding potential. Slightly more upright than the Z1000, the riding position offers a blend of control and comfort that allows the rider to enjoy a variety of riding situations.

STRONGER FRAME

While maintaining the Z900’s highly acclaimed handling, revisions to the frame add strength to the swingarm pivot area. Front and rear suspension settings were updated to match the new frame.

TFT COLOUR INSTRUMENTATION

The new 4.3” all digital TFT colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance and offers additional features unavailable on the previous model. High-grade full colour display features TFT technology, delivering a high level of visibility. The background colour is selectable.
